Mike Menius lives in the wine country of northern California, where he primarily depicts landscapes. He began his first formal art training while in highschool, by enrolling in the Famous Artists School, based in Connecticut. He completed the degree's requirements by correspondence. Mike later studied with the Corcoran School of Art in Washington, DC, as well as the Virginia Art League in Alexandria, VA. At that point, he was introduced to his preferred medium, colored pencil. He had previously worked almost exclusively with the air brush. Mike has served as President of the San Francisco District Chapter of the Colored Pencil Society of America (CPSA). He is a signature member of CPSA. His works have been exhibited at numerous group shows in the northern California area. His solo exhibit in July, 1999 was a benefit for the AIDS quilt, in San Francisco. For
